To show its support for workers and to mark Singapore’s 60th birthday, FairPrice Group (FPG) has announced a record $5 million worth of discounts and savings for NTUC Union members and Link members.

FPG’s annual May Day campaign honours workers from all walks of life in Singapore. This year’s offerings will include deep discounts on essential groceries, affordable beverages at food outlets, and additional savings for seniors and eligible low-income individuals.

The initiative announced on 24 April 2025 will run until 31 May 2025 across all FairPrice supermarkets, and selected Kopitiam outlets island-wide for the month of May.

FPG Group CEO Vipul Chawla said that despite global economic uncertainties, FPG remains committed to the Singapore community.

“This May Day, we want to especially recognise the hard work of Singapore’s workers and frontliners. Our discounts are a way of giving back, ensuring that all in Singapore can access daily essentials and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. We're committed to making every day a little better,” he said.

Meanwhile, NTUC union and Link members can enjoy 50 per cent off selected daily necessities each week for a month.

50% discounts

Starting 24 April 2025, NTUC union and Link members can enjoy 50 per cent off a different essential item every Thursday for four consecutive weeks, available both in-store and online.

The first deal, available until 27 April 2024, features the popular 200ml Milo Ready To Drink Tetra Packs. Members can purchase a 24-pack carton at a discounted price of $7.80—just half of the usual retail price of $15.60.

Details of the following weekly offers will be revealed on 1 May, 8 May, and 15 May 2025.

To access these deals, members need to present their Link Rewards or NTUC union membership card at checkout or make payment through the FPG app.

50 cents kopi or teh

In addition to the supermarket deals, FPG has partnered with Kopitiam to bring back their popular 50-cent hot kopi or teh promotion.

From 1 to 31 May, customers can enjoy hot beverages for just 50 cents at 70 participating Kopitiam outlets.

The offer is available to those who present their NTUC Union card or e-voucher and make payment via the FPG app.

Celebrating SG60

NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Caryn Lim highlighted the importance of this initiative during a year of national celebration.

“As we celebrate SG60 this May Day, we want to reaffirm our commitment to support Singaporean workers and their families. FairPrice Group is hence offering discounts on daily essentials, and these savings will help our members stretch their dollar and ease their day-to-day expenses.

“We strongly encourage all members to take full advantage of these discounts throughout the May Day campaign period,” she said.

Beyond the May Day campaign, 2025 has seen FairPrice Group spearhead a range of SG60-focused initiatives.

These include ongoing promotions under the "Best Sellers for Less" campaign, double discounts for CHAS cardholders during the first two months of the year, frozen prices on key produce during Chinese New Year, and the introduction of FairPrice Return Vouchers to complement the Government's Community Development Council (CDC) Voucher Scheme.

FPG’s latest effort underscores its role in supporting everyday Singaporeans amidst rising costs and economic challenges. By expanding its community-focused campaigns, FPG continues to play a pivotal role in improving affordability and ensuring accessibility for all.

With cost-of-living concerns remaining top-of-mind, FairPrice hopes its latest May Day campaign will resonate strongly with workers and families looking to make the most of their household budgets during SG60.
